Russian Forces Reportedly Capture Umanske Village in Eastern Ukraine
Russia's Defense Ministry claimed on June 2 that its troops had taken control of Umanske village situated in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk Oblast, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.
Umanske is positioned in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region, roughly 30 kilometers northwest of Donetsk.
Throughout the day, defense forces repelled air attacks, shooting down two Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft, 50 drones, 23 rockets from the American HIMARS reactive artillery system, two "Tochka-U" operational-tactical missiles, three French "Hammer" guided bombs, and one anti-ship missile Neptune.
