The annual "Immortal Regiment" march in Kyrgyzstan, which takes place annually on Victory Day, has been cancelled.
The decision was announced in a press release by the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, SİA reports.
The decision was made with security concerns in mind. Measures are being taken to eliminate the risks of disturbances to public order and the commission of crimes in crowded areas. Whether the measures will be conducted online or not is not yet known.
The "Immortal Regiment" march has been held in Kyrgyzstan since 2014.
The event was canceled only once before, in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
