Kremlin Spokesperson responds to US decision to use frozen Russian assets for Ukraine's benefit

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President's Office, has stated that Russia will respond to the United States' decision to use frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

Peskov expressed his reaction to the approval of a bill by the US House of Representatives to use frozen Russian assets for Ukraine's benefit in a statement to the Russian news agency TASS, SIA reports.

He said, "If this is indeed the case, the US will have to respond to this. There will probably be no time limit. We will respond to this in accordance with our interests. As for the details of the bill concerning the seizure of Russia's frozen assets, they need to be clarified. In any case, if it comes to the seizure of our assets, it will cause irreparable damage to US reputation, as the state will do whatever is necessary to protect its own and private property."

Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also commented on the matter, saying, "US military aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan will deepen the global crisis."

The US House of Representatives has approved bills regarding military aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Kyiv, and the imposition of additional sanctions against China. The package amounts to $95 billion.
