Pashinyan: Yerevan ready to sign peace treaty with Baku within framework of agreed principles

Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan within the framework of previously agreed upon principles, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in Yerevan after negotiations with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"I informed my colleague about the latest negotiations with Azerbaijan, confirmed Armenia's readiness to establish stability and peace in the region based on the three principles already agreed upon between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is the mutual recognition of territorial integrity based on the provisions of the Almaty Declaration of 1991 and the implementation of mutual delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the unblocking of regional infrastructures based on the principles of respect for the sovereignty and jurisdiction of states, reciprocity and equality. In the context of the latter, we mentioned the 'Crossroads of Peace' project proposed by the Armenian government, the implementation of which can radically change the situation in the region," Pashinyan said.
