Israeli army says $3M in cash found in Al-Shifa hospital

During their raid on the Al-Shifa hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip, Israeli troops seized approximately $3 million in cash, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service said, SİA informs, citing TASS.

According to the report, the money was found by members of the Israeli army’s special units.

"As part of the searches at the hospital, the forces located 11 million shekels in USD and Jordanian Dinars that were earmarked for terrorism," the press service said in a statement.

In a separate development, Israeli forces inspected around 3,700 residents of Gaza moving southwards at their checkpoint near the hospital. More than 300 of them were detained on suspicion of terrorism.

"Among them are dozens of senior terrorists and those with key positions," the IDF said.

Also, the Israeli military coordinated the delivery of humanitarian aid to the area, including a fuel truck and about 1,800 liters of water and food totaling approximately 3.8 tons.
