Zelenskyy says Russian offensive stopped in East of Ukraine

Now the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian front is much better than it has been over the past three months, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Le Monde and BFMTV, SİA informs.

“We had difficulties due to a lack of artillery ammunition, air defense, long-range weapons and the density of Russian drones. We worked well against Russian aviation, we restored the situation in the East, and the enemy offensive was stopped,” he said.

The president noted that "the invaders destroyed Avdiivka and managed to capture Ukrainian territories, but they can no longer advance, having lost a large number of aircraft."

“We are carrying out powerful actions in the Black Sea. I will not go into details, but I received a report that indicates very significant positive results,” Zelenskyy added.

At the same time, he says Ukraine cannot “be positive” about stopping Russian encroachments while the war is going on. “But today we stopped the Russian offensive in the east of Ukraine, and they are suffering heavy losses. Why am I not more positive? Because perhaps tomorrow, in a week or a month, they could receive another million ammunition, and the ones we are counting on, it won’t be there,” the president noted.
