Roskomnadzor blocks 'NeMoskva Speaks' electronic publication website
Roskomnadzor, the Russian telecommunications watchdog, has blocked the website of the electronic publication "NeMoskva Speaks" ("Moscow does not speak"), SIA reports citing "Kommersant".
The reasons behind the blocking remain undisclosed. Currently, media editors are trying to determine which content led to the inclusion of the website in the registry of banned sites. Nevertheless, the media outlet is determined to continue its journalistic activities.
The "NeMoskva Speaks" project was initiated by an independent group of journalists and correspondents in the fall of 2022.
The newly appointed chief editor of the media outlet is Viktor Muchnik, who previously held a leadership position at Tomsk TV-2 news channel.
The situation raises questions about the ongoing challenges faced by independent media in the region.
