Russian Fighter Jets conduct air strike in Idlib de-escalation zone, resulting in civilian casualties

In a recent air raid carried out by Russian combat planes designated for Syria, a tragic incident unfolded in the De-Escalation Zone of Idlib, resulting in the loss of one civilian life and injuries to five others.

According to the opposition's airbase, at approximately 10:02 local time, two Russian fighter jets took off consecutively from the Hmeymim airbase in Latakia and targeted the outskirts of Idlib city center with four airstrikes, SIA reports citing foreign sources.

As reported by the Civil Defense (White Helmets), one civilian lost their life, and five others sustained injuries in the aftermath of the attack.

The wounded individuals have been transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. The situation highlights the ongoing tensions in the region, raising concerns about the impact on civilian populations amidst the conflict.
