Germany conducts unofficial talks with India to transfer artillery shells
Germany is engaging in non-official negotiations with India to acquire artillery shells for transfer to Ukraine.
According to insiders, several hundred thousand artillery shells are stored in the warehouses of this state.
Both Berlin and New Delhi have not officially commented on these negotiations yet, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.
Meanwhile, "Der Spiegel" reports, citing sources, that the government of India maintains friendly relations with the Russian Federation, and therefore, contacts regarding the sale of ammunition between the two countries are kept secret.
As a result, secret negotiations are currently underway regarding the acquisition of weapons and ammunition through intermediaries.
The article states that journalists have reported that every two weeks, an unofficial group consisting of officials from the Chancellor's Office, finance and economic departments, diplomats, and state officials gathers in Berlin. They discuss which states potentially could enter into contracts and provide advice on convincing them to make positive decisions.
