The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has announced that on February 24, Russians did not carry out offensive operations in the Kupyansk direction.
Ilya Yevlash, the spokesperson for the "Khortytsia," the operational-strategic group of forces, noted that the reason for the enemy's abstention from such actions is the ongoing reorganization of forces in this sector of the front.
Yevlash shared his comments on this matter with the liga.net website, SIA reports.
While not witnessing direct military clashes, it does not imply an absence of warfare in the region. Artillery is still being utilized, and Russians continue to bombard Ukrainian soldiers.
Yevlash stated that the repositioning of Russian forces in the Kupyansk direction is linked to the enemy's plan to receive approval from the military leadership of the Russian Federation to persist in their offensive operations.
