Russian President Putin congratulates Turkish counterpart on his birthday
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, SIA reports citing the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidency.
During the phone call, Russian President Putin congratulated President Erdogan on his birthday.
During the meeting, Putin thanked Erdogan for the gifts he presented in support of the development of Turkish-Russian relations on the basis of friendship.
A statement from the Kremlin on the meetings mentioned ongoing preparations for Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey and indicated that it could take place "after the presidential elections next month."
President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan also called Erdogan to congratulate him on his birthday. Tokayev expressed gratitude to Erdogan for his efforts in the development and protection of the rights of the Turkic world.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan also had a phone conversation with President Erdogan, congratulating him on his birthday. Mirziyoyev thanked Erdogan for his support of unity and solidarity in the Turkic world.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis also congratulated Erdogan on his birthday in a phone call.
