Navalny Ally claims negotiations for Navalny's exchange involving Zelimkhan Khangoshvili's killer
Maria Pevchikh, an associate of the slain Russian opposition figure Alexey Navalny, has released a video discussing the preparation for the replacement of the Federal Security Service's (FSB) special operations officer Vadim Krasikov, who is currently imprisoned in Germany for the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili.
"Navalny will be released in the coming days," the video, published on her channel, states, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.
According to Pevchikh, on the evening of February 15, she confirmed that negotiations were underway for the exchange of Krasikov for Alexey Navalny and two US citizens, and it was in the "final stage."
Reportedly, one of the intermediaries was Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
Again, according to Pevchikh, Putin did not want to see Navalny released and opted to avoid "swapping" with someone else for Krasikov.
