US allegedly launches cyberattack on Iranian Military ship in response to Yemen-related intelligence gathering
The United States is reported to have executed a cyberattack against an Iranian military-naval vessel allegedly sent by Iran to Yemen, collecting intelligence on cargo ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
SIA reports with reference to NBC News' report on the incident.
The cyberattack, which occurred just over a week ago, is said to be part of the Biden administration's response to a drone attack in Jordan last month that resulted in the death of three US soldiers.
The objective of the US operation against the vessel, accused of spying, was to prevent the Iranian military ship from sharing intelligence with representatives of the "Ansar Allah" movement.
It is worth noting that on February 11, the US Central Command announced new attacks on Houthi positions in Yemen, continuing its actions against the Houthi rebels in the region.
