Former President Donald Trump, expressing his desire to reclaim the position, pledges to be more proactive for Ukraine than the current occupant of the White House, Joe Biden.
Trump made these remarks during a campaign event in North Charleston, SIA reports with reference to foreign sources.
Trump claims that, if reelected, Biden would allegedly "get everything he wants, including entering Ukraine," under the influence of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"This is a gift. He has a gift," Trump asserted, suggesting that Biden would purportedly give Ukraine to Putin.
The New York Times recalls that over the past few months, Biden has been urging world leaders and the US Congress to provide more military aid to Ukraine. However, Trump is now attempting to overturn this narrative, asserting that he will be more active for Ukraine than Biden.
As the publication notes, Trump is trying to change the script, promising to do more for Ukraine than Biden.
