International organizations are showing great interest in monitoring the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, Secretary-General and head of the observation mission from the CIS Sergei Lebedev told journalists after observations at polling station No. 38 of the Nasimi-Sabayil constituency No. 23, Report informs.
“A large number of international observers arrived in Azerbaijan, including from the OSCE, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization of Turkic States. This indicates that international organizations are showing great interest in monitoring the elections in Azerbaijan,” he noted.
Lebedev also expressed hope that not only the CIS mission, but also other international observers will give an objective assessment of the elections organized in Azerbaijan.
