Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation where they discussed various topics, including the situation surrounding Ukraine, SIA reports with reference to the Kremlin's press service.
The two leaders reviewed progress on a number of issues of bilateral cooperation in follow-up to recent high-level exchanges between the two countries and noted the successes achieved in practical interaction in various fields, including cooperation in the Far East of the Russian Federation.
Expressing their interest in further strengthening their bilateral relations, the two leaders wished each other success in their upcoming elections - the presidential election in Russia and the parliamentary election in India.
In addition, Putin and Modi also addressed several international matters, including the situation in Ukraine, as confirmed by the Kremlin.
