A fire broke out on January 11 in a building located on the territory of a garrison of the Russian 42nd Guards Motor Rifle Division in Shali, Chechnya, destroying the headquarters building and several parked cars.
This is not the first time that a fire has occurred in the headquarters, which is located in a rundown building, SIA refers to a confidential source.
A video of the fire was shared on the Sorokin Tail Telegram channel, showing the complete destruction of the two-story building.
Despite this, there has been no official statement or explanation from the military unit, and they have not responded to requests for comment from the website Kavkaz.Realii.
It is worth noting that the 70th Guards Motor Rifle Regiment and the 42nd Guards Division are located in Shali, and there have been previous reports of tensions between the military personnel and the command, including a refusal to participate in the war against Ukraine.
