Top US general joins Pentagon chief for meetings in Israel

The United States Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown, have visited Israel for talks.

According to information obtained by SIA, this was reported by Israel's KAN channel.

It was the Pentagon chief's second visit to the region since Israel launched a war in Gaza in retaliation for the Hamas-led terrorist attack on Oct. 7. During meetings and conversations with Israeli officials, Mr. Austin has stressed both the Biden administration’s support for Israel and concerns about the rising Palestinian death toll.

It is expected that the U.S. officials will meet with high-level security officials in Israel to discuss current issues related to the conflict in Gaza and regional problems in the Middle East.
