Poland’s Sejm passes vote of confidence to Donald Tusk’s government

Poland’s Sejm (lower house of parliament) has passed a vote of confidence to the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper reported.

According to the newspaper, as many as 248 lawmakers supported the vote of confidence, while 201 voted against. The Tusk cabinet was supported by all lawmakers with the Civic Coalition, the Lefts, and the Third Way. Lawmakers representing the formerly ruling Law and Justice party and the ultra-right Confederation alliance.

Polish President Andrzej Duda will swear in Donald Tusk and his cabinet on December 13.

On Monday, the Sejm voted no-confidence to the Mateusz Morawiecki government.
