The US has sent military advisers to Israel to support the ground operation, an approach that is misguided, said spokesperson for the ruling Justice and Development Party Omer Celik, SİA informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
“The solution to the problem is political in nature. But what the US did was send an aircraft carrier. Now we are talking about sending American military personnel with experience in Gaza to Israel to support the ground operation. This position showed that this is not an approach focused on a solution, this is a wrong approach,” Celik emphasized.
He noted that Türkiye will under no circumstances take the side of countries seeking to deepen the conflict.
“We believe that a political solution must be implemented. An immediate ceasefire must be declared. <...> All parties must immediately release the civilian hostages they are holding, in particular children and women,” he added.
