Estonia, following the directive of the European Commission (EC), prohibits the entry of cars registered in Russia. These restrictions are applied in agreement with neighboring Latvia and Lithuania, the Internal Affairs Minister of Estonia Lauri Läänemets said, SİA informs via Estonian media.
“Estonia follows the directive published by the European Commission on September 8 on further clarification of the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation, according to which vehicles registered in the Russian Federation are no longer allowed to enter the territory of the European Union,” the minister said.
According to him, from 10:00 on September 13, owners of cars with Russian license plates will have to either return to Russia or cross the border without a car.
