In Krasnodar, a local resident drowned her own daughter in the bathroom, and then she called the doctors herself.
SIA refers to the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICR) that, the woman held a two-year-old girl under water until she stopped breathing.
“According to the investigation, this afternoon the woman and the child were alone at home. At some point, the attacker, taking advantage of the helpless state of the girl, placed her in a bath of water, where she kept her until she stopped showing signs of life,” the department reported.
When the girl stopped breathing, the woman wiped her hands on a towel and called the emergency services herself.
Investigators of the territorial department and a forensic specialist of the regional department of the ICR examined the scene and appointed a full range of forensic examinations.
A criminal case was opened against the mother, she is now detained. She will have to undergo a psychological and psychiatric examination.
