Baghdad, Ankara set up committee on water resources due to lack of water in Iraq

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan have agreed to set up a committee on water resources amid water shortages in Iraq, SİA informs referring to the Russian media.

“Climate change and drought threaten Iraqi society and agriculture, we need to work together on an ongoing basis through this committee,” Hussein said.

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources, water problems in the country began, among other things, due to lack of rainfall and heat.
