A doctor was attacked by 20 people in Turkiye, SIA reports with reference to the Turkish press.
The incident occurred the night before in the emergency room of a private hospital in the city. Ekrem G. brought his child to the hospital with the complaint of high fever.
Claiming that the vascular access was late, Ekrem G. started shouting and swearing in the emergency room. Meanwhile, the father, calmed by the hospital security, called his relatives.
The crowded group beat the emergency doctor Esadullah Beğoğlu, the night manager of the hospital Ahmet Sefa Health and the security guard Gökhan Hacı Yunus in the hospital garden.
Beğoğlu, who was hit on the head with an iron stick, was transferred to Gaziantep University Şahinbey Research and Application Hospital after the first intervention.
Beğoğlu, who was in the intensive care unit for one day, was taken to the service when his life was in danger.
As part of the investigation, police teams detained Ekrem G. and 1 suspect. After the proceedings, Ekrem G. was arrested and the other suspect was released.
Esadullah Beğoğlu, who is being treated at the hospital, said, “I was on duty in the hospital emergency unit. A child was brought to the hospital due to high fever, vomiting and fluid loss, and they asked for serum treatment. My nurse friends tried the intravenous line once; At that time, we went to the hospital garden to get tea with the other emergency doctor and the night manager.
Meanwhile, the boy’s father called someone on the phone and gathered many men to the hospital. We don’t know about it. Because we did not have any arguments or verbal arguments with him. At once, 20 people attacked in front of the hospital. They attacked with belts and iron sticks. We barely saved our lives. I have 15 stitches in my head. I have scars on my shoulder and neck. They bit my arm. “I have iron sticks and belt marks on my back and hips,” he said.
