The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, published a meme about the reasons for Finland's accession to NATO.
According to information obtained by SIA from Russian media, the meme is a dialogue between two fat Finnish men on the Telegram channel:
- "Pekka, why did our country join NATO?"
- The Russians are threatening us.
- Why are they threatening us?
- "Because, Matti, we are joining NATO," he wrote.
Finland joined NATO on April 4, 2023. Earlier, Medvedev called the counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces a "myth" and put forward a condition for the establishment of peace in Ukraine.
The former Russian President also announced the number of contractors accepted into service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation since the beginning of the year.
