Erdogan replaces governors of 57 provinces

By decree of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the governors of 57 provinces of Türkiye out of 81 have been replaced, SİA informs referring to Turkish media.

The reasons for the reshuffle, which did not affect Ankara and Istanbul, are not named. Opposition media draw attention to the fact that the decision was made after the meetings of the government and the Turkish National Security Council that took place this week.

On August 2, by order of Erdogan, the heads of the security departments of 52 Turkish provinces were replaced.
