Still no news about the fate of Solovyov's villa in Italy

Italy has suspended the Investor Visa program to Italy, which is intended for citizens of Belarus and Russia to receive residence permits in exchange for investment.

Made in Italy website posted the statement on Tuesday, SIA reports.

"In accordance with the recommendation of the European Union C (2022) 2028, we inform you about the suspension of the program for citizens of Russia and Belarus by the order of the chairman of the committee (ministerial) dated 14.07.2023," the statement read.

Since 2017, Italy has launched a government program that grants "golden visas" to citizens who are not part of the European Union.

According to this program, which the Russians now call "so-called", an investor who contributed a lot to the country's economy, as well as his family, had the opportunity to get a residence permit in Italy.

Before that, it was known that the British government also extended sanctions against Belarus.

In addition, as reported by SIA a little while ago, 6 enterprises of Belarus were included in the "black list". This is in reference to the enterprises engaged in the production of optoelectronic products - BelOMO, OJSC Peleng and OJSC Kidma Tech.

As for the fate of Vladimir Rudolfovich Solovyov's villa in Italy, it still remains in the dark.
