Russia's 'Ozon' will employ more than 500 convicts

Ozon is launching the social project "Ozon without condemnation".

The Russian company will offer work in its fulfillment centers to more than 500 convicts with a lenient regime of serving sentences until the end of 2023, "TASS quoted a statement as saying, SIA reports.

The project will involve logistics facilities in Rostov-on-Don, Kazan and the Moscow region.

It is specified that the proportion of convicts will not exceed 10% of the number of employees of the warehouse.

Earlier, RT war correspondent Murad Gazdiyev said that dozens of convicts from correctional colony No. 8 in the Tambov region wrote a collective appeal to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu with a request to send them to the zone of a special military operation.
