Detainees attempting to assassinate Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak are tortured by police
According to an anonymous source, the detained teenagers who attempted to kill RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan and journalist Ksenia Sobchak are being tortured by the police.
Mediazon was informed about this by unnamed witnesses of the incident, SIA reports.
The interlocutor of the publication said that the police brutally beat 18-year-old Mikhail Balashov, whom the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation called "the creator of the 88th paragraph of the neo-Nazi group", in order to get a confession.
According to the interlocutor, after that Balashov trembled and could no longer speak.
Mediazona correspondent also spoke about the torture of another prisoner, 22-year-old Yegor Saveliev. The tortures given to him were so terrible that all the rooms, the whole department, the whole building could hear his screams, according to him.
On July 15, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation released information about the detention of certain members of the "neo-Nazi group" suspected of plotting against Simonyan and Sobchak in Moscow and Ryazan region.
After that, the Basmanny court of Moscow arrested seven suspects not on charges of conspiracy, but on hooliganism.
According to the court, "those who were arrested as part of an organized group with hooligan motives on the basis of national enmity attacked foreign citizens with special malice and brazenness."
Earlier, "The Insider" wrote about the torture of prisoners with electric current, referring to the representative of the neo-Nazi association NS/WP.
