Erdogan: Tragic events in Srebrenica - black spot in mankind’s history

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called the tragic events in Srebrenica, committed 28 years ago in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a black spot in the history of mankind, SİA informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

“On the 28th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, which became a black spot in the history of mankind, I express my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, to all the brothers of the Bosnians. We will not forget and will not allow the events in Srebrenica to be forgotten, so that such atrocities will not be repeated again,” the Turkish leader said in a social media post.

Residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina every year on July 11 commemorate more than 8,000 Muslims who were killed in 1995 in the city of Srebrenica.

It is still considered the biggest humanitarian disaster in Europe since the Second World War.
