Erdogan says Ukraine deserves to join NATO

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday said that Ukraine deserves to join NATO.

"We have always expressed our support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said at a news conference in Istanbul following talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. "Ukraine deserves to be a NATO member.".
