About 21,000 mercenaries of the Wagner Group were killed during the fighting in the east of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his interview with Spanish El Mundo, SİA informs.
He said that during the battles, the strongest units of Wagner were destroyed: "Of course, they could only attack. They had no choice but to attack. Otherwise, they would be killed by their comrades in arms. This was the main secret of their power."
According to Zelenskyy, about 80,000 Wagner mercenaries were injured during the fighting: "This is part of our counter-attack operations. Our fighters are ready to go forward."
