European Parliament recognizes blow-up of Kakhovka hydropower plant by Russian forces as war crime
Deputies of the European Parliament have called the blowing up of the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by Russian forces on June 6 a war crime. Parliamentarians strongly condemned these actions of the Russian servicemen, reads the message of the European Parliament following the plenary session in Strasbourg on June 14, SİA informs referring to Ukrinform.
The deputies condemned the destruction of the dam in Ukraine’s Nova Kakhovka, the latest Russian war crime that must bear consequences. They called on the EU to continue strong support for Ukraine, impose new sanctions against Russia and direct billions of frozen financial assets of Russian oligarchs to rebuild Ukraine, the statement reads.
