Erdogan thanks residents of earthquake-hit provinces for their active participation in elections

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked all residents of the earthquake-hit provinces for their active participation in the elections, SİA informs via Anadolu Agency.

In a tweet, Erdogan stressed that he respects the opinion of each voter, regardless of political views.

The head of state assured that efforts to restore the disaster area will continue until the situation in the south and southeast of the country improves completely: "More than 910,000 tents, 117,000 module-type residential constructions were established in the provinces affected by the February 6 earthquakes," Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader recalled that the Defne hospital in the southern province of Hatay was put into operation in just 57 days.

"319,000 houses will be built during the year, and in general, it is planned to build 650,000 residential buildings," Erdogan said.

The politician said that the first keys to new apartments will be given to the residents of the disaster zone in October-November 2023.

He urged residents of the disaster zone not to believe in negative scenarios: "The state is by your side!", he wrote.
