Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov visited the Philippines, the country's Foreign Ministry said, SİA informs.
On April 3, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary (Minister) Enrique Manalo. The sides discussed the current situation and development prospects of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to achieve practical results in this direction.
For the first time, political consultations were held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines. The political consultations were led by Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, and the Philippines' undersecretary for bilateral relations and ASEAN affairs Mrs. Tereza Lazaro. During the consultations, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations, as well as issues of expanding mutual partnership in economic, tourism, energy, agriculture, culture, and education fields.
