Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Israel and the opening of the embassy reflects the strategic relations between the two countries, Israel's Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said in a statement, SİA informs.
He noted that the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy is of great importance in the 30-year history of the relations between the two countries, hailing the cooperation in regional security, energy, tourism and other fields.
Cohen stressed that Azerbaijan has one of the largest Jewish communities in the Muslim world.
