Turkish and Russian Presidents hold phone talks

Presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, held a telephone conversation on Saturday, March 25, and discussed the situation in Ukraine, the grain agreement, as well as relations between Moscow and Ankara. SIA refers to the Kremlin.

The Turkish leader positively evaluated Russia's agreement on the extension of the Istanbul agreements for 60 days on the export of Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea ports and the removal of obstacles to the export of Russian food and fertilizers.

During the discussion of Russia-Turkiye relations, Putin and Erdogan were satisfied with the development of trade and economic relations and the successful implementation of joint strategic projects, especially in the field of energy.

The leaders of the two countries discussed the progress in the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and gas supply in Turkiye.
