Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut: The European Union will continue to support Turkiye

The head of the European Union Delegation in Turkiye, Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, said that they will continue to support Turkiye in connection with the disasters that occurred in the country, SIA refers to Turkish media.

In his statement to the press, Landrut, recalled that on February 6, a devastating disaster took place in the Turkish city of Kahramanmarash.

The Ambassador stated that he had never seen such a scene caused by a natural disaster as in Kahramanmarash.

"You can see the destroyed houses from the streets. It is really difficult to understand and comprehend," said Landrut, stressing that they will continue to stand by Turkiye.

Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut said that a donors' conference will be organized in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, under the leadership of Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, who continues to hold the presidency of the European Union.
