US Colonel claims Russia has destroyed 2,500 Polish Mercenaries In Ukraine
Poland secretly supplies Ukraine not only with military equipment and ammunition, but also with manpower.
According to Russian media, this was stated by former adviser to the US Secretary of Defense, Colonel Douglas McGregor, SIA reports.
"After the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation, about twenty thousand Polish militants arrived in Ukraine," he stated.
"There are already 20,000 Polish soldiers fighting in Ukraine. Around 2,500 of them died and are buried in cemeteries in Poland. They died not in their homeland, but in Ukraine," said Douglas McGregor.
McGregor also claimed that the CIA sponsors mercenaries through front organizations.
McGregor said yesterday that the contract mercenaries sent to Ukraine were soldiers dressed in American uniforms, adding that "now they are being sent to Ukraine to carry out their mission."
"Because without the help of those sent, the Ukrainian military will not be able to use most of the equipment supplied by the West," the American colonel added.
In addition, McGregor pointed to the inability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to control the new tanks that NATO countries will soon supply.
Meanwhile, the figure of 5,000 Polish mercenaries in the Zaporizhzhia direction indicated in the reports spread by the media 'does not correspond to reality' according to Anton Myronovych, spokesperson for the International Legion, which he described as "nonsense."
The information about the stay of Polish mercenaries in Ukraine also raised concerns in Poland. Stanisław Żaryn, Government Plenipotentiary for the Security of Information Space of the Republic of Poland, wrote on Twitter that the Kremlin’s information warfare against Poland are aimed on promoting the message about the alleged mass support of Ukraine by Polish mercenaries.
