Latin American countries extend support and solidarity messages to Turkiye
After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that occurred in 10 provinces, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaras, the heads of state of Latin American countries extended messages of support and solidarity to Turkiye, SIA refers to Turkish media.
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced on his Twitter account that a search-and-rescue team will be sent to Turkiye on the instructions of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, saying, "A plane belonging to the Mexican Air Force will leave for Turkiye in a few hours."
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expressed his solidarity with the brotherly people of Turkiye and Syria in his Twitter account saying, "We offer our condolences to the families of the victims, to the people of Turkiye and Syria."
Argentine President Alberto Fernandez expressed his solidarity with the people of Turkiye and Syria due to the loss of many lives.
Bolivian President Luis Arce expressed his full solidarity with Turkiye and Syria through his Twitter account saying, "The State of Bolivia offers its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the injured a speedy recovery."
Colombian President Gustavo Petro expressed his solidarity with the people of Turkiye and Syria in his message on his social media account, and noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with relevant institutions for concrete assistance.
Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei expressed his solidarity with the Turkish people and government in his Twitter account and said, "We offer our condolences and prayers to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the devastating earthquake that killed thousands of people.
