Will Switzerland reconsider relations with Russia?

Switzerland intends to make changes in its new foreign policy strategy and review its relations with Russia, SIA refers to Russian media.

The Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs called one of the reasons for this decision - Moscow's refusal to "accept the mandate of the protective force to protect the interests of Ukraine in Russia."

"Relations with Russia should be reviewed in the next foreign policy strategy. Moscow's refusal to accept the mandate of the protectorate to protect Ukraine's interests in Russia is a clear proof that the promotion of peace is currently in very difficult conditions," the report of the Swiss government states.

Earlier, following the European Union, Switzerland expanded the list of sanctions against Russia, including 141 individuals and 49 companies from the Russian Federation.

The capital Bern also joined the European Union's sanctions against four individuals and four companies from Iran in connection with "military support to Russia and the supply of drones to Moscow."
