Gazprom: Russian gas supplies to Europe fell by 23 percent

Russian gas supplies to Europe via Ukrainian territory have decreased by 23 percent in the past 24 hours. The Russian energy group Gazprom said in a statement, SIA reports.

“Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through the Ukrainian Sudzha pipeline in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side of 25,1 million cubic meters, starting January 19,” the statement read.

Gazprom specified that yesterday's confirmed exports amounted to 32,6 million cubic meters.

In May, Ukraine completed the transfer of one-third of natural gas from Russia to Europe at the Sohranivka distribution point.

Natural gas transportation of "Gazprom" to Western and Central Europe through the "North Stream" and Yamal-Europe pipelines has been stopped.

The company's transportations to the mentioned regions continues only through Ukraine.
