Turkiye's goal in 2023 is to become one of the world leaders in politics and economy, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in his New Year's address to fellow citizens on Saturday, SİA informs via TASS.
"Now our goal is not just to enter the big leagues of global politics and economics, but also to gain political and economic power that will allow us to take the first lines there," Erdogan said.
He noted that 2023 will be a special year for Turkiye, as it will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the republic.
