Azerbaijani MP: We call on France to protect human rights in Corsica

"No one has the right to discredit the universal values," said Samad Seyidov, Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Connexions.

The MP noted that unfortunately, France who wants to give a lesson to Azerbaijan violates these values within itself: "France today absolutely pursues the policy against mankind in Corsica. People there want to speak in their own language. In response, France kills those people by force of arms and tortures them unimaginably through the police. They kill their political opponents in prisons. France has no right to support separatist forces in Azerbaijan.

Today, we call on France to protect human rights in Corsica. This issue should be raised at the UN. Because France is a permanent member of the UN SC. Azerbaijan is now different from Azerbaijan. We saw what claims were made against Azerbaijan with double standards and subjective approaches. Today, there is Azerbaijan, which has restored its territorial integrity and what the powerfully influential world needs. France should know that we will raise our voice against these illegal steps".
