Putin awards seven Russian women with 'Heroic Mother' title

On the eve of Mother's Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of "Heroic Mother" to seven residents of the country, SIA refers to the relevant decree posted on the official internet portal of the goverment.

According to the decree, Akhmatova Angela Khizyrovna, Badmaeva Lyudmila Nikolaevna, Kitayeva Elena Anatolyevna, Kozhevatova Elena Gennadievna, Menshikova Galina Nikolaevna, Saltykova Tatyana Sergeevna and Skripko Irina Borisovna were awarded the honorary title for their great services in strengthening and increasing the importance of the family values.

Earlier, Putin spoke about the idea of ​​restoring the title "Heroic Mother". The relevant decree was published on August 15, 2022.

According to the President, the Russian authorities have decided to update and expand the provisions on social support measures for large families.

200 and 500 thousand rubles are given to the holders of the Order of "Parent Glory".
