The leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, Ahmad Massoud, went to Moscow last Tuesday to hold talks with the Russian authorities, SIA refers to the "Omu" TV's report on the news.
According to the TV channel, diplomats of a number of countries of the region and other states have visited Tajikistan in the past few months.
According to report, the MPs met with Ahmad Massoud in Dushanbe in order to discuss the situation in Afghanistan. The report also says that Ahmad Massoud currently lives in Tajikistan, but Dushanbe authorities have never denied or confirmed the Afghan resistance leader's residence in their territory. According to Omu, Qatar's special representative for Afghanistan settlement, Mutlaq bin Majid al-Qahtani, has visited Tajikistan twice so far.
The sources also informed about the talks held by Ahmad Massoud with the representatives of India and Iran in Tajikistan. It was also said that during these meetings, regional debates and negotiations regarding the creation of a "new government" in Afghanistan were discussed.
Due to the sensitivity of such issues in the region, the visits of diplomats and foreign officials to meet with Ahmad Massoud were not covered in the media.
