Formula 1 and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have announced the 2027 Formula 1 World Championship calendar following its approval by the World Motor Sport Council.
According to the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place from September 24 to 26, 2027.
The 2027 season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12-14 and conclude with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 10-12.
The championship will consist of 24 rounds across 22 countries. The number of sprint races will increase from six to 10 in 2027.
The first official pre-season tests of the year will take place at Bahrain's Sakhir Circuit from February 24 to 27.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the 2027 calendar reflects the growing global popularity and continued development of Formula 1. He highlighted the return of Portugal and Türkiye to the calendar and the expansion of the sprint race program.
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali also welcomed the 2027 calendar, noting the return of Portugal and Türkiye and the increase in sprint events.
As a result, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on the same dates in both 2026 and 2027 - September 24-26.
