2026 FIFA World Cup: Mexico beat Ecuador to reach round of 16

Mexico defeated Ecuador 2-0 in the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to SİA, the match, played in Mexico City, saw the hosts secure victory thanks to goals from Julián Quiñones in the 22nd minute and Raúl Jiménez in the 31st.

With the win, Mexico advanced to the Round of 16, where they will face the winner of the match between England and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
