Paraguay's national football team defeated Germany in a penalty shootout to advance to the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to SİA, the match was played at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, United States.
Julio Enciso gave Paraguay the lead in the 42nd minute, while Kai Havertz equalized for Germany in the 54th minute.
Neither side was able to find a winner during extra time, sending the match to a penalty shootout, where the South Americans prevailed 4-3.
Paraguay will face the winner of the France vs. Sweden match in the Round of 16.
