Austria defeated Jordan 3-1 in a Group J match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to SİA, Austria took the lead through Romano Schmid in the 20th minute. Jordan equalized after the break when Ali Olwan found the net in the 50th minute.
Austria regained the advantage in the 76th minute thanks to an own goal by Yazan Al-Arab, before Marko Arnautović sealed the victory from the penalty spot in the 12th minute of stoppage time.
Earlier in Group J, Argentina national football team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Algeria national football team.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted by United States, Canada and Mexico, will conclude on July 19.
The match was played at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium and was officiated by a refereeing team from Mauritania led by FIFA referee Dahane Beida.
